I like stamp images that are clean and simple, but I also own a fair number that are of the “cute” variety. I bought the stamps for this card in Hawaii. My brother and sister-in-law, niece, and nephew live in Oahu, so a trip out there always includes a stop at the Taj Clubhouse store in Honolulu.
…and here is a closeup view of the sushi:
The black and red dragonfly paper is actually origami paper I purchased at a small Japanese goods store in San Francisco. The green “grass” is supposed to represent the small plastic sushi garnish that separates different types of sushi on a plate; this was hand cut with a pair of small, sharp Cutter Bee scissors. There is also a polka dot background stamp that is a little difficult to see in the photos.
